The International Management Institute (IMI) launches a new project focused on capacity building and improving the innovation ecosystem, funded by the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme

The International Management Institute (IMI) is joining a new partnership initiative funded by the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.

The “Dialogue for Innovation and Better Governance” project is a cross-border initiative funded by the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.

The project aims to strengthen innovation capacity and promote collaborative governance in Türkiye, Bulgaria, and Romania. Recognizing the region’s untapped potential for innovation, it seeks to build trust, enhance institutional capacity, and facilitate meaningful dialogue between public authorities, civil society, academia, and the business sector.

By addressing common challenges—such as fragmented stakeholder networks, low administrative capacity, and limited cooperation—the project focuses on creating a more effective and sustainable innovation ecosystem.

Through a combination of activities including needs assessments, capacity-building, policy recommendations, and transnational networking events, DIALOGUE will empower local actors to co-create sustainable solutions, share knowledge, and adopt good practices in line with EU strategies and global development goals.

During the 15-month implementation period (September 2025 – December 2026), the project will engage over 350 participants from diverse stakeholder groups and establish the Black Sea Innovation Platform as a long-term mechanism for cooperation, dialogue, and knowledge exchange.

By leveraging the experience and expertise of its partners – the Çorlu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Türkiye), Trakya Development Agency (Türkiye), International Management Institute (Bulgaria), and Galati Technopol Association (Romania) – the initiative is expected to achieve measurable improvements in governance, innovation capacity, and cross-border cooperation, contributing to a more competent and resilient Black Sea region.
