On 26–27 March, the international forum “Stronger Together Through Dialogue: Strengthening Innovation and Governance in the Black Sea Region” was held in Çorlu, Türkiye. The event was organized within the framework of the DIALOGUE project under the INTERREG NEXT Black Sea Basin Programme.
The event brought together more than 100 representatives of businesses and industry associations, non-governmental organizations, public authorities, research institutions and universities from countries across the Black Sea region. The forum aimed to encourage dialogue and cooperation among key actors in the regional innovation ecosystem.
Focus on cooperation for innovation
During the forum, topics related to the role of cooperation in fostering innovation and building a more effective regional innovation system were presented. The key findings were discussed through expert presentations as well as a moderated panel discussion involving representatives of all elements of the quadruple helix – business, public institutions, academia and civil society.
Launch of the Black Sea Basin Innovation Platform
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding, which officially marked the launch of the Black Sea Basin Innovation Platform. The platform aims to create a space for knowledge exchange, partnership building and the development of joint innovation initiatives in the region.
Opportunities for partnerships and new projects
The second day of the forum was dedicated to partner search and the joint development of project ideas. Participants also discussed the future functionalities of the Black Sea Basin Innovation Platform, which will support cooperation among organizations and encourage the development of new interregional initiatives.

The DIALOGUE project – “Dialogue for Innovation and Better Governance” aims to foster cooperation among stakeholders in the region in order to develop more effective innovation ecosystems. The project is a joint initiative of four organizations – two from Türkiye, one from Bulgaria and one from Romania.
